Our Vision
To honor the impact that these women had on not only the Nashville music scene, but the evolution of music in general, we would like to place informational plaques strategically placed around Nashville, celebrating these influential Black Women. These plaques will highlight the accomplishments as well as the adversity these women have faced.
What Will This Look Like?
Attached to these plaques, will be a speaker, playing the music of these three women. In addition will be a QR Code linking to our website. This code would ultimately give the reader's access to learn more information about these inspirational women. We would like to place these plaques at Jefferson Street for Marion James; Fisk University for Lil (Lilian) Hardin Armstrong; and the Grand Ole Opry for Linda Martel.
